Who can attend the training?

Majority of our courses are open to all trainees with medical qualification or NVQ Level 3 in beauty therapy or equivalent course.

By medical professionals we mean Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Midwives, Pharmacists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Therapists, Paramedics.

If you don't hold an NVQ Level 3 but do have other qualifications that are directly related to this area of work, then please contact us to see if we will accept your qualification as a pre-requisite for the enrolment onto our training.

Botox Certification training is only available to students with the medical background.

Masterclasses are recommend to already experienced practitioners who would like to widen their knowledge and learn new techniques. It is also a good next step for students who passed Dermal Filler Certification course with Skinoza Academy and wish to specialise in certain injection area.

What will happen once I paid?

You will get an email confirmation for the booked courses and also a separate email with the link, which will grant you access to the online theory part. Make sure you have around 35h for studying before a booked practical training. While going through booking process you will be selecting a practical training date as online training you will be able to complete in your own time prior to practical training. Will I be covered by insurance to inject during the training?

Yes, our cosmetic indemnity insurance covers you to inject on the day of your training course. Upon completion of your course, you will have to apply for your own cosmetic indemnity insurance to work as practitioner. Upon completion of the course you will receive a graduation certificate which will allow you to gain insurance.

Skinoza Academy uses Insync Insurance and you can use bellow link to request a quotation. Please note that Insync will insure medics and non-medics with an NVQ Level 3 or 6 months experience.

Will I be able to complete the Botox training if I am not currently a prescriber?

Yes, prescribers can be provided on the day to allow students to complete their practical training. Once you have reached the end of your training and achieved the necessary qualifications you will need to establish your own partnership with a local prescriber. Alternatively, you will need to use a regulated prescriber service when ordering Botox products for your treatments. The product used for dermal fillers does not currently need a prescription.

In order to comply with the guidelines from the GMC a prescriber must consult clients face to face before Botox is prescribed.

Who is considered to be a non-medic?

Professionals who are having non-medical background and are eligible to perform dermal filler and anti-wrinkle or other aesthetics injection. Such as Beauty Therapists ( with NVQ Level 3) , Dental Hygienists and Therapists, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, Paramedics, Chiropractors, Operating Department Practitioners. By “non-medic” we refer to practitioner who is not a Doctor, Dentist or Nurse.

In order to improve the quality of the training provided and insure safety of the procedure, Skinoza Academy place a lot of focus to encourage trainees to follow protocols and procedures and maintain professional industry standards through accreditation and insurance assurances.

Do I have to arrange models for this course?

No, we provide all cosmetic models for our training courses. Each trainee will get access to up to 4 live models on the day to practice learned skills. If you have any friends or family interested in becoming your cosmetic model than they can visit our models page or contact us for more details. All our training models get heavily discounted treatments for the purposes of teaching.

Can I change a practical part date?

What does a monthly payment mean?

Only at Skinoza Academy we offer our trainees an opportunity to spread training cost in 3 or 6 monthly payments. This is not a Direct Debit so once full amount is paid off there will be no further charges applied. Total course fee will be slightly higher if you select monthly payment compare to one-off fee. Will I need to provide proof of my qualifications?

Yes, we do require a poof of qualification to be enrolled to any training course or Masterclasses offered. Obsessionally we might request confirmation for the current registration with a relevant body such as the GMC, GDC, NMC, HCPC.

Is the training open to international delegates?

Yes, all of our training courses are available to practitioners in the medical sector including registered doctors, nurses, midwives, dentists and hygienists, pharmacists, ODPs and paramedics from anywhere in the world. However, before you enrol onto any of our courses, we strongly recommend that you verify what regulations and guidelines for practice are applicable in your country. Every country has their own rules and regulations relating to aesthetic medicine.

Where do I obtain indemnity insurance for cosmetic procedures?

All our courses have been fully approved by leading insurers. Once you have completed your training you will be issued with a certificate of competency that will enable you to secure the necessary indemnity insurance for aesthetic practice.

How do I enrol onto a training course and pay the fee?

Our courses run to quite specific schedules. To see further information about our courses and available dates, please consult our course booking page for further details. Payments can be made online through our website.

Do I need to bring anything with me when I attend the training?

No, just yourself. Learning materials will be sent to you electronically before the course begins so when you attend on the day you can focus on the practical side of the course. Live models are used for the practical training so you will be able to use what you have learned on real life models under the watchful eye of an experienced practitioner.

Do you offer just Foundation or Advanced Courses?

All our courses incorporate Foundation and Advance training. We have done to provide our students with required knowledge and experience to practice competently and safely when delivering treatments to your clients. Particularly this is applicable for Botox Certification and Dermal Filler Certification as combining Foundation and Advanced will provide financial benefits to our students compare to booking 2 separate courses.

Typically, all training will include facial anatomy and topography, facial ageing and aesthetic consultation educational aspect. After this, focus will be given on practical elements of your training usually beginning with a live demonstration followed by one to one supervised treatment on cosmetic models. The day will usually conclude with a discussion on the business side of running an aesthetic practice and employment options once you are fully qualified.

Will I receive a certificate once I have completed the training?

Yes, whichever training you complete, Course or Masterclass, you will receive a course completion certificate by email within 72 hours after you have completed your final practical training session. Occasionally we provided already printed certificates to students on the day of training.

What is cancellation policy?

Please note cancellation charges apply. Upon booking, 50% of the course fee is immediately non-refundable. Bookings which are cancelled less than 1 month prior to the course are 100% non-refundable.

We require at least 1 months written notice to make any changes to your course booking or training dates. We are not able to reschedule or move any training course bookings that fall within 1 month of the course date.

Where will my practical training take place?

Skinoza Academy gives our students a unique opportunity to attend practical training in real aesthetics clinic and to get a better understanding on day to day job of the Aesthetics Injection Practitioner.
